| Motor Home Monthly - Sept 2007 | | Harald Charters was at his stand with the blue water running through the filter and coming out clean and drinkable. We stood and listened to his sales talk and we tasted the water (it was good), but still I wasn't convinced.
Harald gave me a plastic clip and told me to fetch some water from anywhere I wanted, he would filter it and drink it.
I collected a cup of water from the muddiest puddle that I could find, Harald passed it though his filter and I ended up drinking it myself. that was enough to convince me that these water filters did, indeed, remove impurities and make the water taste great… Read the Full Article Here |
| | Motorcaravan MotorHome Monthly - May 2007 | | 2002 Rapido 741f on Fiat Ducato 2.8JTD Water System: Another five-star recommended addition is the Nature Pure fresh water filter. Using this, water tastes good whatever the source, while the filter cartridges last for ages. We always have a secrete smile between ourselves when we see other motor homers lugging six-packs of mineral water back from the supermarket. With Nature Pure's small filter housing (the size of a milk carton) mounted under your sink, you can forget that journey forever! Ours is fitted under the washroom basin because there wasn’t room under the kitchen sink. Also we wanted to avoid fitting an extra faucet. Installing it in-line with the supply to the cold tap here means that you have pure water for cleaning your teeth, for drinking or for the kettle, but no filter water is wasted washing dishes. |
| | Motorcaravan MotorHome Monthly - December 2006 | | | Portable Purifiers - There are also motorcaravanners who like to be as self sufficient as possible and prepare their own drinking water. These hardy adventurers know that one of the best known purification specialists is General Ecology Europe and the TRAV-L-PURE personal purifier has been used on expeditions in many parts of the world. Its filtration system not only removes unpleasant tastes: it traps chemicals such as pesticides, solvents, disease bacteria, pathogenic cysts with disease toxins, parasites, and water bourn particles. And it doesn't do this using chemicals such as chorine. |
| | Motorcaravan MotorHome Monthly - December 2006 | | General Ecology is one of the worlds best-know specialists in water purifiers and these products are fitted in matorcaravans, narrow boats and anything else whose pump is sufficiently powerful. Normally a diaphragm pump with reasonable output is needed to force water through the sophisticated filter; a submersible pump doesn’t have enough welly. But why did I fit one of these?
It was partly the fact that my water tank is left part full between trips that led me to the a nature pure ultrafine purifier made by General Ecology. That was in 2001. Its cartridge has been changed at least once a year and the installation has been a totals success. These are not cheap purifiers but as the world fussiest drinker of tea I have decided thee products ideal for my needs. |
| | Trail Magazine Aug 2006 | | This has been a "Trail" recommended product in the past and I has some major advantages over the other units here. Primarily you get a huge flow rate of 1.7 litres per minute, making this ideal for those who want to filter a lot of water quickly.
You also get an inlet pipe that has a prefilter and a float, and you can screw the filter to a "Sigg" or "Nalgene" style water bottle. This makes using this unit fast and very easy to use. It will remove viruses without the addition of iodine due to the 0.1/0.4 micron filter that strains out contaminates, which is a big plus: as there is no iodine, the water tastes great too. |
| | SAILING TODAY - October 2004. | | This is a quality product, well thought out for DIY installation, service and use. Replacement cartridges are not cheap, but you'll save on splashing out for bottles of water.

| | OUTDOOR ADVENTURE GUIDE - Summer 2004. | | No chemicals or boiling required for this three-stage pump : it pumps out 1.8 litres / minute and come with a gravity-feed bag (also acts as a storage bag) Hook the pump to your Sigg or Naigene bottle, insert hose into water source, and get pumping. The three-stage purifier works to draw out the bad stuff, giving drinkable water from the moment you pump it.
You can't get into the filter to clean it, although with all the viruses and bacteria stuck in there, that might be a good thing. We loaded our inner city water and this one pumps easliy, the water clarity is clearer than a bottle of Dasani. Tasted like Evian Plus, even better than the real thing. No earthy tastes, just clear and fresh. Across the board, our tasters favorite filter for its quick efficiency and the great taste. Certified to meet Environmental Protection Agency (US) standards for microbiologocal purifiers in eliminating bacteria, cysts and viruses. One year Warrenty.

| | AMERICAN RV MAGAZINE, JULY 2004 | | The Nature Pure System by General Ecology Inc. utilises a uniquely effective Structured Matrix technology that offers the combination of a 0.4 micron absolute retention with broad chemical removal capability in a very durable, compact configuration. It achieves ultra-fine micro-straining simultaneously with wide ranging chemical capture while still providing an excellent flow rate at normal RV pressures.
Most importantly, Nature Pure Ultrafine systems have been certified to meet EPA Federal purification standards for the removal of all three classes of water-borne disease-causing organisms: cysts, bacteria and viruses. This same technology has been proven in use by consumers worldwide, by US and UN armed forces, numerous international airlines, disaster relief organisations in Japan and in RV Caravan tours in South America.
